Bubble’s Q Old‑Fashioned Family Grilled Ribs
🍖 Bubble’s Q Old‑Fashioned Family Grilled Ribs
Made the way our Southern families have done it for generations — slow, simple, and full of love.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 racks pork spare ribs or baby backs
- 1 cup of Bubble’s BBQ Sauce
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Optional: a splash of Red Hot for a little fire
🔥 Step 1: Prep the Ribs (The Old‑School Way)
- Flip the ribs over and remove the thin silver membrane from the back.
- Pat dry with paper towels.
- Mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, and onion powder.
- Rub generously on both sides — don’t be shy.
- Let the ribs rest for at least 30 minutes (or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor).
🍯 Step 2: Make the Mop Sauce
This is the part every Southern family swears by.
In a small bowl, whisk together:
- ½ cup Original Coastal Blend
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
This keeps the ribs moist and adds layers of flavor as they cook.
🔥 Step 3: Grill Low & Slow
- Heat your grill to 275–300°F, indirect heat.
- Place ribs bone‑side down, away from the flame.
- Close the lid and let them cook for 2 to 2½ hours, mopping every 30 minutes.
- Don’t rush — slow cooking is the secret to tender ribs.
🍖 Step 4: Sauce & Sear
- When the ribs are tender and the bones wiggle slightly, brush on a generous layer of Original Coastal Blend.
- Move ribs over direct heat for 5–7 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- If you want heat, brush a thin layer of Spicy Tide Heat during the last minute.
🌽 Step 5: Rest & Serve
Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve with extra sauce on the side — because everyone always asks for more.
❤️ Remember:
“Good ribs aren’t rushed. Let the fire do the work, and let the sauce shine.”
